A killer venue, super relaxed vibes and a huge focus on friends and family – Jess + Ben’s wedding in Bunbury was all about the good good.

Maybe the coolest thing they did was arrive early, where they greeted all of their guests together and spent over half an hour hanging out with everyone and enjoying the buildup to their ceremony. When it was time to make everything official, family and friends clustered around the arbour that Ben had made with old jarrah timber from their home that they are renovating.

Their venue – Maker + Co – is normally a shared workspace in a refurbished old Victorian building, with beautiful feature windows and architecture. Jess, Ben and friends converted the basement into a dining space, and the upstairs was transformed into a rad ceremony and party area, where Eclipse band pumped live tunes.

Jess got ready at home with some close friends and family. Ben and friends were busy putting the finishing touches on the venue. All of their booze got pinched the night before – what a low act – but they took it in their stride and madly drove around restocking drinks and making sure the party was good to go.
