Roisin + Tane | Berry Delightful

Roisin + Tane | Berry Delightful Wedding

Party good times at Roisin + Tane’s festival wedding.

I don’t even know where to start describing this epic day.

Roisin’s family hosted this rollicking festival wedding at their home – The Berry Delightful – just outside of Donnybrook. A sprawling property with gardens, a stage, dams, camping, glamping… and the most beautifully warm and welcoming people.

Everyone arrived early, setting up and camping along the edges of the dam. Which also was the perfect spot for a refreshing dip and an after party the day after the wedding too.

Roisin wore a blue Rue de Seine dress. I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding with a bride who doesn’t wear white. With cowgirl boots and rocking a headband adorned with and stars, she looked badass.

Tane wore an incredible kakahu – a Maori ceremonial coat, woven with feathers by his grandmother. Around his neck hung a whalebone pendant, set with paua (abalone) shell and carved by his grandfather.

A Gaelic poem from Roisin’s grandfather at the ceremony, and an incredible reading from Tane’s mum.

Deep celestial vows with moons and oceans and stars and time colliding… things got deep and then the dance floor went real late.

Roisin + Tane’s wedding was also featured on the Polka Dot Weddings website.
